The purpose of this paper is to discuss the possibility of a moral sanctuary existing in the field of business. It seeks to add to the discussion begun by Professors Konrad and Roberts in recent studies. After some preliminary discussion on the nature of a moral sanctuary, the paper contends that from an Aristotelian-Thomistic perspective it is impossible for sanctuary from moral rules to exist in any area of life, including business. Even games are regulated by principles of Justice and (...) Do No Harm. And the claim that ethics is too complicated to be figured out by the average business person simply does not make sense. Tolerancia, en nuestro caso, significa el derecho y obligación de la autoridad civil para determinar la filiación religiosa de sus súbditos. Filosóficamente considerada, significa la extensión de la libertad de conciencia de los individuos y los derechos del Estado para obligar a una uniformidad de fe. El hombre es un animal social, y el problema consecuente de los derechos de la persona para con la sociedad y los derechos correlativos de la sociedad con el individuo ha sido siempre una cuestión (...) espinosa. El ámbito de los derechos del Estado sobre la conciencia de sus súbditos, y especialmente por lo que se refiere al derecho de adorar a la Divinidad, ha sido extendido y restringido según los tiempos. Frecuentemente las opiniones son deformadas por los prejuicios, fenómeno comprensible si tenemos en cuenta que nada hay más precioso al hombre como su libertad de fe. En este punto el dedo del filósofo toca el mismo corazón del indocto, pues, aunque pocos pueden comprender la teoría sobre la tolerancia religiosa, todos pueden reconocer sus implicaciones prácticas.
